Conference Venue
The National Agricultural Science Complex (NASC) is situated at the heart of Delhi. It is a
prestigious complex built by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and has
multi-dimensional state-of-the-art facilities. The NASC houses a National Agricultural Science
Museum, Symposia Complex, offices of several CGIAR Centers, national and international
organizations of agricultural research, and the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences
(NAAS). It has well-equipped conference facilities, including an auditorium with a seating
capacity of 1,200 participants. There are several seminar and lecture rooms of different seating
capacities for parallel sessions. These rooms are equipped with air-conditioning facilities, LCD
projectors, wi-fi internet connectivity, etc. There are several premier academic and research
institutions in the vicinity of the complex.
Venue Facility
The proposed venue of the Congress will be Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam Auditorium (NASC Complex)
with all state of art facilities, seating capacity of more than 1200 persons in main auditorium.
It also has spacious facilities for posters and exhibitors and special events, and a number of
mid-sized meeting rooms for concurrent lecture and discussion sessions. In addition, limited
accommodation is available in the International guest house within the campus.

NASC complex is easily approachable from the IGI airport and New Delhi railway station.

New Delhi (DEL) is one of the modern airports in the world. The airport has most recently been
recognized at various forums globally which includes SKYTRAX World Airport Award 2017 for the

passengers per annum (mppa).

The Indira Gandhi International Airport is conveniently located about 10 km from the city centre,
connected by high speed metro rail to city centre and directly opens into the national highway
system.

New Delhi is the proposed location and the city is ideally suited as a world-class travel

Climate
The average maximum daytime temperature in New Delhi in November lies at 28°C (82.4°F). The average minimum temperature goes down to around 13°C (55.4°F). Delhi temperature in November experiences nearly 11 hours of sunlight daily, providing ample time for sightseeing and outdoor activities.
Time Zone: Local time in New Delhi in India Standard Time (IST) which is GMT + 5.5 hours.
Health Details
All incoming delegates/staff/visitors shall follow Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW),
Govt. of India guidelines for international arrivals. The guidelines stipulate that all
international travelers to India should preferably be fully vaccinated as per the approved
primary schedule of vaccination against COVID-19 in their country. The guidelines also prescribe
basic precautionary measures like preferable use of masks and adherence to physical distancing.
- On arrival, thermal screening may be done by the health officials present at the point of
entry.
- Any passenger having symptoms of COVID-19 during travel may be isolated as per standard
protocol.
- All passengers are expected to cooperate with the health officials.
All passengers who are travelling from Yellow Fever endemic countries as notified by World Health
Organization are advised to take Yellow Fever vaccination 10 days before their scheduled arrival
in India. List of Yellow Fever endemic countries may be seen at:
https://ihpoe.mohfw.gov.in/vaccination.php Accordingly, participants from Argentina, Brazil and
African Union may take note of requirement of their Yellow Fever vaccinations.
Currency & Banking
The currency of India is the Indian Rupee (INR/`). Current exchange rates: one US $ = `82, one €
= `89 (Subject to change). Currency is easily exchanged at the airport and at designated
Government of India approved dealers. There will also be facilities for currency-exchange at the
Hotels. Delegates can withdraw Rupees through ATMs. Major foreign credit cards are accepted in
all modern establishments; hotels, restaurants and stores.
International Dial Codes
The country code for India is +91 and the local code for Anand is 011. To call a local number,
you can dial +91 followed by the local code 011 and then dial the number you wish to call.
Likewise, to call an Indian mobile number when calling from a foreign number, you should dial
+91 followed by mobile number you wish to contact. Delegates intending to use an Indian SIM card
can obtain the same from an authorized mobile network operator.
Electricity
The electricity supply voltage in India is 220-240 volts with plug types C and D. The BIOTECH
secretariat will provide a power outlet at the delegate’s desk at the venue. Delegates are
encouraged to bring their equipment, such as electric adaptors for mobile devices intended to be
used. Round pins with three points are used in Indian plug point.

Drinking Water
Tap water is not potable. Delegates are advised to consume bottled water only.
Medical Support
An emergency medical support unit will be available at the Conference venue.
Accessibility & Special Requirements: Delegates are encouraged to inform the BIOTECH Secretariat on
any special needs requiring assistance, such as accessibility and ambulatory requirements ,
allergies, medical issues and any other needs through email. All information will be treated
confidentially.
Dress Code
All meetings – formal business attire. Delegates are expected to wear smart casual attire for the
Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner. For the planned excursion, casual attire with sports footwear
is advised.
Photography
You may be filmed or photographed by the Symposium Secretariat’s official
photographers/broadcasters and media over the course of the programme. In addition, photographs
and
short video compilations of the Symposium attendees may be posted on the official website and
social media. By registering for the Symposium, you are providing your consent for the same.
Accommodation
The registration fee will not include accommodation charges. The participants are encouraged to
make their own arrangements for stay. However, participants requiring accommodation may forward
the request in advance to the organizers for making arrangements on their behalf .Foreign
participants are requested to book their accommodation directly with the BIOTECH Tours & Travels
